昨年末に開催されたとある合宿で，Workshop という名の，ゲームのような催しがあった。
30 名ほどの参加者を 7 つのチームに分け，下記の課題をそれぞれ与える。チーム内で（たった）25 分間話し合った後，チームの出した答えを 5 分以内で英語で発表する。チームリーダーが 1~7 と書かれたくじを引き，ランダムに割り当てられた課題にそれぞれのチームが取り組むというものだった。ちなみにチームリーダーは，なぜかコスプレもやらされるという実に損な役回りであった。
1. If humanity were to make contact with aliens, what ethical, scientific, and diplomatic considerations should be considered, and how might such an encounter impact our understanding of life, technology, and the universe?
2. In a hypothetical scenario where animals gain higher intelligence and become the dominant species on Earth, how do you foresee the dynamics of coexistence, societal organization, and the ethical challenges that might arise in this new interspecies world order?
3. How can global leaders ensure a sustainable and inclusive recovery after hypothetical World War III, considering the widespread devastation, displacement, and economic challenges, and what steps should be taken to prevent the re-emergence of conflict on a global scale?
4. How would the ability to manipulate time, whether through time travel or altering the pace of time, impact our perception of life, decision-making, and the very fabric of our existence?
5. In a future where, hypothetically, quantum technologies enable instant transportation across the globe, what interdisciplinary strategies might emerge to navigate the challenges of this quantum-era globalization while ensuring socioeconomic equality?
6. What if individuals have the option to enhance their cognitive abilities through AI implants or brain-computer interfaces? How might this impact societal structures, education, and the concept of human intelligence?
7. Suppose AI systems become integral in political decision-making processes. What challenges might arise in ensuring fair and unbiased governance, and how can we address concerns about the concentration of power?
私はというと，やりたくもないチームリーダーをやらされ，1 番のくじを引いた挙句に，トナカイのカチューシャをつけられ（クリスマスが近かったので），そのまま発表させられた。辱めそのものと言えるような措置であったが，めちゃくちゃウケたので良しとする。私のチームはちなみに，ほとんど全ての意見を私が述べ，発表も私だけで行い，ベストプレゼンター賞を 4 番のチームと同率で獲得した。のち，私だけトナカイのコスプレをして再度人前に立つというさらなる辱めを受けた。しかしウケたので良しとする。
京大に着任したばかりの頃にやった他己紹介（二人一組になって互いの紹介をするという企画）でも，また別の日にアイスブレイクとして行ったクイズのような企画でも，ベストなんちゃら賞をいただき，お菓子やらコーヒーやらをいただいたりした。
いずれもいつか，学生にやらせても面白いかもしれないと思う。メモとして書き残しておく。
